You bet, JW. I'm always willing to learn. In fact, did you read my favorite quote:

"I try to seek the kernel of knowledge in every intelligent poster's position, and use it to grow my personal wealth."

Some of your posts have been of great value to me, JW, and The Artist Formerly Known as MP says you are the best ta person on the boards. That's good enough for me <g>.

uf

btw, my daughter and her friends are far too innocent for the likes of you, Mister O'Tay <g>.

Jim Willie CB,

<< TA voice from the upper branches of the tree >>

I much enjoy reading your posts, and on the subject of TA and QCOM I would like to share an e-mail I sent to a Microsoft Investor columnist & TA practitioner this last spring (4/3) and his response:

> Terry,

I REALLY owe you one.

QCOM has been on my watch list dating back to the FCC PCS Spectrum auctions in 1995. At the beginning of this year I was ready to add it to my portfolio and was looking for proper entry point. On 1/5 you wrote in "Options Tactician":

<< Finally, I am adding a new call position for Qualcomm (QCOM). The stock is very near an upside breakout at 56. This stock could easily rally to 64-65. >>

I took a significant position in QCOM that same day (avoiding the rush of the last few weeks since QCOM settled IPR disputes with ERICY). QCOM up 150% since my initial investment as I write.

Sorry to see you "do a little housecleaning ... (QCOM)" on 2/5/99.

I'm long on the Q. Very satisfied with my initial investment and will no doubt add to it in the future when things settle down and this stocks valuation can be more sensibly evaluated.

Mary Rowlands 12/28/98 article "7 Stocks Careful Investors Should Consider in '99" (referencing QCOM) and your 1/5/99 article have justified a lifetime subscription to Microsoft Investor in my book.

> Thanks for the kind words Eric. I'm with you, QCOM is a great story. Could run-up some more near term as investors anticipate a stock split.
