With all due respect Shalom, what you say is subjective. God's word will not return void. You have started other threads---so have others---I did one---and have they succeeded? I'm not sure---I suppose it depends on God concerning that---so what may be "true for you" or a conviction for you isn't necessarily "true" for the rest of us. If we all abandon the "inner city", who is going to take over? I appreciate your concern, but really don't agree with your conclusion. Having said that, I of course respect your right to say what you want to say, and probably am in line with 89.7% of your doctrinal beliefs as well. "Even Paul...did...NOT... return to MARS HILL..." a) I wouldn't be too sure of that b) I imagine there were other "mars hills" where he debated c) I'm not too sure this is "mars hill" e) You are not Paul f) I am not Paul g) None of the Christians are Paul (although Sam endorses him) h) What would Jesus do might be an appropriate application here i) Might be a good idea to develop a "mars hill" candy bar So what about Mars Hill Have we had our fill Should we leave And then grieve Because we're unable to fulfill Maintaining the right spirit For all others to "hear it" At times we fail With words assail It takes forgiveness to clear it But in all of the "ebb and flow" Hopefully others will know The false from the true And that God blesses who? Shalom, With all due respect, I do not either hate or mock Christianity. It is true that I have no desire to become a Christian, but that is far from hating or mocking. I do desire to understand why different people believe different things. The only way I know how to do that is to talk to them and to question them. I always try to do that in a respectful manner. If I have failed to do that, then I publicly and sincerely apologize. I truly mean no offence. As I said once before, if my presence and questions offend the majority of the people here, then I will gladly refrain from posting with no ill will on my part. Sincerely, Mark
