It seems the prices of many things are cheaper than they were in the 80's when I went to school. I just don't see much inflation outside of education. Even medical care, though more expensive, can do a lot more and there are many procedures that replace the need for surgery. No one seems to notice the bargain there. Oil prices rising--now that's something tangible. With the election coming, some believe that the money pumper will be back to keep everyone happy. Also Money being pumped to allay Y2K bank run concerns. So I don't rule out inflation either. --Al
