It seemed to me that the threads I have bookmarked were not getting near as many posts since the BETA version of silicon investor came out so I did the following quick calculations and found (if my numbers are close to being right) that SI's posting business is less than half of the posts per day since they instituted the new SI. I feel it is not as much because people don't like the new SI as much as how slow everything has gotten and all of the errors you now get while trying to navigate. Anybody else have any thoughts on this? ______________________________________ Post #1,000,000- 3/16/97 Post 2MM.........9/19/97....183 days to go from 1MM to 2MM, which averages out to 5,465 posts per day (assuming each month has 30 days in it) Post 3MM...12/18/97.... 89 days since 2MM...11,235 posts per day Post 4MM.... 4/8/98....110 days since 3MM....9,091 Post 5MM.....6/8/98.....60 days since 4MM...16,667 Post 6MM...10/13/98....125 days since 5MM....8,000 Post 7MM...12/28/98.....75 days since 6MM...13,334 Post 8MM....2/24/99.....56 days since 7MM...17,857 Post 9MM....4/19/99.....55 days since 8MM...18,181 Post 10MM....6/6/99.....47 days since 9MM...21,277 Post 11MM...8/18/99.....72 days since 10MM..13,888 Post 11,367,500....(today)....38 days since 11MM...9,671 Posts per day average now. We've dropped to 9,671 post per day from a high of over 21,000, that's down over 50% since SI BETA started and shrinking.
