Average metro home price rises
Denver-area single-family home resale hits $214,696 this month

The average price of an existing single-family home in the Denver area rose to a new record of $214,696 this month as home-buying activity generally cooled with the weather.

According to a monthly report released Friday by Denver-based Perry & Butler Realty, the average resale price of a metro-area house jumped more than 2 percent in September as 4,190 home sales closed and 2,951 homes went under contract for sale. ...
