Jon,

With all due respect to your suggestion, had I wanted to do so, I would have a long time ago. I just don't think it would go over. Now, with this type of subject, the personal success of a thread wouldn't matter by the number of posts it had gotten, but I would be personally dismayed to relate a few memorable experiences only to come to a later conclusion that mine and perhaps a miniscule amount of others had been posted. I would think, "Why the hell did I bother to go to all of the trouble?!?"

SI is, unfortunately, very cliquish. I know (and I doubt very strongly that anyone can prove me wrong) that there are those who will post to a thread based on who else is posting to it, and for the same reason, avoid posting to it because of who is posting to it.

Because of the above, I seriously doubt that a thread could be a successful colage of interesting personal moments from the lives of others because of such juvinile thinking.

Admittedly, I will purposely avoid threads when I see certain posters have posted to them, so I'm not trying to suggest I'm above such thinking.

But I'd love to be proven wrong.

Mike
