Great discussion on the thread regarding this issue, and I am glad to see that Go2Net is aware of what is being spread around in the media about the company. Some guy - I don't recall where I ran into him though - did make this point very eloquently in saying, and I quote, "And some of these prominent analysts feel so guilty about the crap they sh*t, that many of them quit." WoooooooooooHoooooooooooooo! Anyway, ;) all opinions, bullish or bearish, are valuable and deserve to be heard, but when brokerage houses (analysts) are in a position of high visibility (Houston! We have visibility of 2,000 feet and declining... ), they have to be held responsible for what they say. If it's not manipulation but a valid analysis, then they simply need to explain their reasoning and back it up with proof. Otherwise, they need to put a lid on it. Until consumers demand accountability from these firms or put pressure on them by refusing to give them their business, they will continue to look out for their own best interest. Though the SI community is unusually aware of many of these concerns when compared to the general investment population given the free exchange of ideas, high quality of member contributions to the threads, and availability of information online, the fact remains that there are many others who rely heavily on the brokerage houses to manage their money. They think that they're the experts and they pay dearly for their advice. As I said before, it's pathetic. And, very sad for many who put their faith in these people... these clowns ... as you call them quite appropriately. (No offense meant to Obewon, and may the force be with you! :) Oh, and lastly (hold applause, please ), are you accusing me of preaching, Jeff? <<I [finally] finished reading your analysis. [Gasp! Help! Can I come up for air yet? Oxygen!] Great commentary! Sounds like you just came down from the mountain top! :) >> If so, then let me just say this to that [Yes, editorial liberties were taken, but you know that's what you were thinking...]:192.41.19.35 :)
