JG, << Qualcomm may be an acquisition candidate--about a year from now >> This thought has been running through my mind for the last several months and increasingly so given the events of recent weeks (handset division sale, formation of new alliances, et al). What an acquisition that would be for the right player, and we are posting on the thread of of what I consider to be the right player (even if not the most likely). With Qualcomm's significant IPR and powerful alliances, they have to be an acquisition candidate for someone, and that someone would have to have the size and vision to sensibly acquire and meld into the communications giant that would result.
