Yes. Professional licenses in CT are $450/annum. We were told that was because CT had no income tax and were promised that the fees would be reduced when we got one (Lowell Weicker ran against the income tax and then declared immediately upon election that he wouldn't govern w/o one). Weicker could not win another term.

Didn't your Gov Ogilvie also run against the income tax and then force one through? Just like when Clinton ran for prez on a middle class tax cut and then "discovered" between election and inauguration that he had been lied to and that we needed a huge tax increase! Clinton actually claimed that the Bush admin lied to his team!

btw, Business Week and other pubs showed that Clinton's declarations about the Bush figures were premeditated lies, as was his switch from tax cut to tax increase. Of course, the media found that brave and refreshing.
