Goodness! Have I just wasted an hour of time? Or have I fulfilled the duty of taking a few short steps home across the universe?

Although I admire those unafraid to walk blindly down dark (and perhaps unknowable) pathways, yet I still sometimes think that perhaps we should look for things in the daylight. Perhaps it is better to avoid dark areas until at least some of the lights come on...

(So some wag yells from the back of the room: "So who is gonna find the switch to turn em on?!")

When I was younger I wanted to know everything; these days I am happy to understand a little more about less and less! Life, in any case, is being very cooperative in terms of defining the size of my playground!

Some day humankind will need to face the incompatibility between their biological fragility, and their expansive minds...a super computer without a cooling fan-or is it a cooling fan without wiring? This will, fortunately, never be a personal problem for yours truly...

Always nice to see your postings, Will; and always illuminating! It is clear to me that when any one human navigates all of those links, and the links to the links, with understanding-then all the stars will wink out... :-)
