RE <<<Having said that, I would be surprised if Via doesn't have to make some choices here. Intel will be at a disadvantage because of the lawsuit situation but in this industry loyalties can change for the right price. Intel and AMD will probably get opportunities to sharpen their dealmaking skills.>>>

I think it may play out differently..... the enemy of my enemy is my friend. If this plays out the way it is being discussed, Via has a choice: take a few extra dollars on the front end, or deliver a small blow to a formidable enemy which to some degree will help level the playing field to their advantage.

If I were Via, I would blow off intc and charge AMD a little bit above market for its chipsets.

Charles, all,

yahoo has posted changes on AMD's earning estimates.

biz.yahoo.com

-.89 now.
was -.97?

Burt?

If we do better than the -.97, we still may miss the new -.89 estimate. Analysts suck.

Looks like a sure thing AMD will beat the Q3 (-.97) estimate.
:o)

A positive!
