The introduction of the light bulb was "anti-business" to the candle makers.

Er! No. The light bulb was not free. The light bulb was an invention which improved/replaced the candle. Actually it replaced oil lamps more so than it did candles. After having suffered through the Ice storm of 98, I have a good supply of candles lying around.

The movement isn't an invention. It is a doctrine that believes that software should be open and free. It would be akin to saying that we shouldn't have to pay for anything. We just mull around creating things, developing them and allow everyone to benefit from them. That is why I say it is anti-business. If there are no businesses, then there is no stock market. If no stock market, no day traders. No day traders no Mr. plees or Mr. Guaranteed. Actually it is sounding like a better place after all!!!

Ciao!
