Bell Canada markets Lucent technology

As you know, BCE owns Bell Canada and 40.4% of Nortel. That is why I was somewhat surprised to read this in the Seattle Times.

One practical application now available north of the border is a
collaboration between Lucent Technologies and Bell Canada on a service
called "Message Notifier." It provides cross notification of voice-mail
messages to an e-mail box, and e-mail messages to a voice mailbox.

The service was rolled out this summer to Bell Canada's 7 million
customers in Ontario and Quebec. Bundled with a voice-mail service, it
costs residential customers $8 a month, and business customers $12 a
month.
