Terry:

"Wade Cook's "Crook Books"

LOL!

I have read ALL Buffett book as well as his writings, and I have to say that Buffettology SUCKS! In fact, it is the only one I would say that about. Further, it is probably way too much for a beginner. That "Motley Fool Investment Guide" is probably one of the best starter books for a beginner - IMO. It's simple, funny, and provides a real good intro to investing.

Another good thing for him/her (or ANYONE) to read after the Fool's first book is:

berkshirehathaway.com

Lastly, another great beginner book (not too bad for a intermediate novice) is "Wall Street On Sale" by Timothy Vick.
