Prophet, <My question is whether there is any competing technology (e.g., DDR) on the horizon which could displace RMBS in the near to mid-term.> DDR is the only competing technology to RDRAM in the near to mid-term, since PC133 is just a stop-gap solution and not all that much better than PC100. The risk now is that DDR will have a chance to catch up. They probably have a few more supporters now thanks to this latest Camino delay. But it all depends on support from non-Intel chipset makers, since Intel has not talked about any DDR support in public. Tenchusatsu
