Howard - sure, why not? Selling options, whether puts or calls, is usually a better play than buying them. The idea would be to pick a strike price that would get you a nice fat premium, and at which you'd also be happy buying the stock if it were put to you -- but the put premiums might be too small at the moment, since (IMO) the call premiums are too high. I've never sold puts, so I don't yet have a sense of whether it might make sense statistically right now, but thanks for the idea. I'm going to watch the puts for a few days and seriously consider it.
