To All: I guess some folks just don't understand the PURPOSE of the MDA Thread. It is a forum for individuals to gather and present their analysis, period. The perfect representation allocation would be for 1/3 of the posters to say the Market is going up, 1/3 of the posters to say the Market is going down and for 1/3 of the posters to say the Market is going sideways. A collective stalemate if you will...<g> It is up to the participants and readers of this thread to discern which weighting they give to the analysis of the individual contributors of this thread, based on an accumulative pattern of correct expectations or incorrect expectations. And, any correct call not supported with analysis should be viewed as a lucky guess, nothing more. It would be great if this thread was collectively right for each Market direction change, but that is not realistic. Actually, it would defeat the purpose of this thread, to promote discussion of opposing analysis (fundamental and or technical) if everyone agreed. I am grateful that the contributors to this thread rarely post "gut feels" and rarely post "extreme calls". Both would diminish the quality of the MDA Thread, if done more often. It would also be detrimental to this thread if folks were posting just to get adulation or recognition. (MDA gets that from time to time.) I am thankful that the majority of the contributors to this thread do so in an effort to share and produce cordial and respectful discussion. I am also thankful that the majority of contributors to MDA remain humble when they are right. Regards, LG
