dave_s: Obviously the goal is to be right, but the purpose is to promote discussion through individual analysis.

I just get tired of folks slamming the MDA Thread or those occasional or one time posters that just pop in to post a guess in hopes of garnering some recognition and bragging rights.

Isn't it ironic that the U.S. is demanding that Japan flood its economy with liquidity at the very same time that the U.S. is constricting money supply? I just don't understand what's going on here. Are there any experts on this thread in this area that can explain why the yen is so strong still with their stock market pulling back so strongly and swiftly and their interest rates so low?

Of course, if this is "off topic", then I'd appreciate any pms. TIA.
