Don: Thanks for the write-up. One thing, however, it takes more to being considered for the NAZ than merely being above a certain water-level. A complete set of financials must be available, as well. Did you get a "read" on this aspect of any NAZ submittal?

John~

Don, many thanks for this as well as all your previous tireless work getting out the word on Lumenon.

I've been a "lurker" for several weeks (since getting long on 8/23), but reading this board convinced me more than anything else that SI has value beyond on-demand flame mail.

I believe most people still miss the real point of LUMM. Cheap DWDM filters are a great achievement, but the wider applicability of the process is the real story. Nobody else I know of has come close to getting the process cost for optical connections to the point where direct PC-fiber connect is practical. Even if Fiber to the home is still a way off, Fiber to the desktop would be a profitable revolution.

Looking forward to feedback from others who were in Dorval at the weekend.

Don, why do you suppose LUMM has not been snapped up by
a company the likes of JDSU ?

I am new to this thread... but it just seems to be a logical question.

Any points of view would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Don,

Please explain what DWDM chip do they have. DWDM this word is too vague. Do they make passive or active devices, DWDM coupler, multiplexer, demultiplexer ( with what spacing) or they have DWDM laser???

I am in DWDM business and never heard of this company. If they have anything good, they will at least demo or give some specs out. Please let us know. BTW, I was just back from NFOEC. Where was Lumenon?
