With all the computers in the world, it's impossible to make systems 100% bug proof.

Does anyone have any stats when corporate America (Canada) started converting to computerization, stats as far as data entry error etc..

Remember when companies use to have $3000.00 IBM word processors (the ones with the tiny 5 inch monitor) and basic electronic typewriters all over desktops? What ever happened when they switched over to computers? There must be stories of user error, as people HAD to start using computers for the first time in their life.

Most companies not all, but MOST will have to be able to use the Internet as a daily part of business. Broadband will replace slow 56K connections, so how are you going to do it on 486's? Y too Kay is giving companies the needed push to upgrade that slow crap.

My buddy, working for a large company, upgrading their servers, etc, said there was a room with 100-200 486 desktop computers that they couldn't give away. They tried calling schools to see if they could donate them, but the schools wanted faster computers. It's about time companies upgrade junk and get with the times.
