Doing that little project brought back a painful memory from my youth:

Microwaves were relatively new and I was somewhat naive as to their properties.

Anyhow, I needed some boiled eggs for something and after peeling 4 of them, decided they weren't quite boiled enough. A little soft.

Ah Ha!! I thought, I'll just nuke 'em for a bit. Just a few seconds, what could it hurt.

I opened the door and the eggs looked just fine. I bent down and reached in with my left hand, and the eggs blew up. Kapow!!

Scared the beejeezus out of me. When I jumped back my shirt caught on the hook on the door and yanked the microwave enough to knock the full sugar bowl off and break it on the kitchen floor.

I staggered back and had to clean boiled/nuked egg out from behind my eyelids.

I'm really glad nobody was watching.....
