There WILL be a garden next year. There WILL be real tomatoes. I don't think I've ever had barbecue in NC. I'll have to check that out. I usually do my own marinade/sauce. No exact recipe - improvisation the highest of kitchen arts, IMO. Low heat and take your time - I am not at all fond of ribs that have been boiled. My cousin makes THE best chicken. He won't tell but I think his real secret may be getting everyone blitzed, then dropping the chicken in the lawn clippings, or something.
