James these verses again reveal the true duality of man. The inward man is the Christ that is your true self which will be revealed. As you can see the man Jesus was not that inward man. Jesus was human and flesh, not an indwelling spirit. Can you not see the difference in his teaching and that of the 12?

Let's use your example of Adam and Eve in regards to intention/action. What would have been worse, Adam thinking about eating the apple but refraining, or Adam actually eating the apple?

Remember, if he doesn't eat it, there is no original sin and man is never in a state of fallen grace. so is his contemplating eating the apple as bad as actually eating it?
