As I remember the way the storm made landfall, the only serious problems you'd have had would have been if you'd been out in a boat. Parts of New Jersey and Connecticut had some miserable hours as well and don't forget that Neocon was without power for 40 hours.

It took a frighteningly long time to raise some of my cousins in New Jersey, who lost power and telephone service.

And I have a friend in Connecticut whose entire first floor was flooded by the "little stream" running near the house. For the first time in recorded history, it became such a raging river that it ran 'way over its rather steep banks and wreaked havoc for several miles.

It was the northern part of the state. I'd think it would be big news statewide.
