I used to grow, on a black tar roof top, about ten plants--mostly heirloom varieties. The tastes were incredibly different.

Yes, still warm from the sun with a smidgeon of salt, but also in the morning cool right off the vine, when it is so obvious that it really is a fruit.

I'd eat so many that my body would become so acid my skin would discolor under 14K gold! And relished every second....
