For what it's worth---Quote from this weekends Raging Bull Cyberstock Investor report: "America Online (AOL). Surprisingly, as much as AOL has beat its "AOL Anywhere" drum over the past year, the company has remained rather quiet in actually making wireless content moves. However, quiet is always a relative term for the take-no-prisoners group from Reston, Virginia. To date, the company has announced a deal with 3Com to make AOL's e-mail access available to Palm Pilot users in the near future. In addition, AOL's ICQ messaging service is currently available in a beta version for the Palm Computing platform and for Windows CE handheld users. I believe we can expect to see wireless versions of AOL's Spinner, an online radio service, and WinAmp, an MP3 player, available to wireless phone and handheld users over the next six months. So far, most of AOL's efforts seems to have been focused around the development and rollout of its highly anticipated AOL TV service. However, with Steve Case and Bob Pittman continuing to play footsie with Sun Microsystems' (SUNW) Scott McNealy, I expect to see AOL's content become available on a wide number of Java-enabled wireless Internet devices within the next year. In short, brand will win in the wireless content space, and the letters A-O-L are ones that no wireless carrier is going to want to be without when the Internet-enabled cell phone space explodes in popularity."
