My brand-new copy of InDesign indicates mostly good news. The thing I was most worried about vs Quark was scriptability; it is, but how much existing Quark Applescripts will need to be modified I don't know yet . . still reading.

One minus is that there is no apparent support for editing kerning metric tables, at least in the manual. Maybe there's a plugin or a readme about it - once again, still investigating.

How it separates and prints to film is a big question - haven't talked to anybody yet or heard anything.

Anybody heard yet? That was Quark's biggest advantage . . .
