Akula you are not giving me an accepted definition of morality. Here is mine, ( Webster's Dictionary and Thesaurus )m-w.com (insert " morality "). Do you have a reference for your definition? A link?We cannot communicate unless we use the same language. You cannot define terms to suit your argument. The definition of morality,as it is broadly understood in America, ( GOODNESS, probity, rectitude, righteousness, rightness, uprightness, virtue ) is critical in the separtion of man from animals. No animals have ever come even close to our definition of morality. Morality is closely linked to free choice. None of that applies to animals. Evolutionists cannot redefine our general understanding of words ( morality; free choice ) to suit their ideas.People will reject that. I think that here is where the general public ( read the unwashed; separated from our University intelligentsia ) part. It is when Dawkins introduces ideas such as memes for which he has no proof or substantiaon that people start calling the psychiatrist for the crazy Prof. and start dialing furiously for the Kansas School Board, TA PS : your definition of morality :"Let us define morality as an action that reduces the chance of survival for an individual but that increases the chances of survival for another individual or individuals", may be confused by many ( especially by the evolutionists!!, as stupidity; or, " a stupid gene "; " unlikely to survive" <vbg> . . . . Intelligence should be defined as being self-aware and able to make a concious decision ("Cogito ergo sum." - I think, therefore I am.) Memes (I thought you had read Dawkins) are merely ideas that have the power to bring people together and dictate actions or goals (such as Christianity, enviromentalism, liberalism.) Evolution has furthermore not been absolutely proven, but neither has relativity of evolution. For that matter, you can't even prove the Pythagorean Theorum. Just because it hasn't been absolutely proven doesn't mean evolution can't be taken for all intents and purposes to be true. Until other evidence is found, evolution can be assumed to be true.
