Ok , this is the plan, this video access stuff is NOTHIN/NADA/ZIP to do with the internet, the word internet needs to be used in order to get the investors' attention.IMO I saw this plan TWO years ago so it's old tech now.(not to say we aint gonna use it) First of all it is ADSL based, hands up all the SIers that have adsl availabilty ( not many right). Remember the Telco's saying years ago that they will be competeing with cable ? well this is the technology they meant. It is very simple, servers in the central office with movies which can be downloaded to a pc or set top box- it is not real time viewing. I never saw a hint of speed in all the links I was given so we are back to adsl - which will be max 4MBPS throughput, as the throughput and access speed are the same thing at the first telco ( which is then connected to ATM/sonet fiber rings). This deliver plan will work but only when adsl is as comon as your 56k modem.
