I totally agree. I have read excerpts of Buchanan's book that I have located on the web (I refuse to buy it) and one thing that really bothers me is that the press claims that Buchanan has adopted Lindbergh's "America First" position... which is technically accurate, but does not address the real issue... I'm no fan of Lindbergh's social standpoints (and he was an anti-semite too) but the America first people had no knowledge of the holocaust!! (they claim and I take it at that). How can anybody take the America First position knowing what we know now?? Its unthinkable. I hope Ventura KOs Buchanan...

>>That GWB will not denounce Buchanan shows how empty Bush is morally.

Actually, this Buchanan episode has highlighted just how craven McCain and you are. Instead of issuing a denunciation of Buchanan, craven McCain instead used the event primarily as a vehicle to attack George Bush, for not being as harsh on Buchanan.

Funny, Pat Buchanan has been a known quantity for some time and if John McCain had any real issue with him he should have expressed it earlier, and not just as a device to attack the candidate that he is trailing so very badly. McCain appears to be a desperate man, lashing out at a calmer, self-assured front-runner. But at this stage, McCain is doing so poorly that he has nothing left to lose.

McCain's situational ethics is making everybody else look good by comparison.
