Clinton's visit to subcontinent: US urges steps for positive
climate
UNITED NATIONS, Sept 26: The United States wants Pakistan and India to take steps to "create a positive environment" for President Clinton's visit to the subcontinent, the US Assistant-Secretary of State Karl Inderfurth told Reuters
in an interview here.
The administration is looking to schedule Clinton's trip as early as January and no later than March, according to Inderfurth. It would be the first trip to the region by a US president in two decades.
