St. Germain was the most powerful figure influencing that legislation at the time. You have no knowledge of what happened, as you have made clear.

Funny. I worked for the regulators during the crisis but as I recall we were never harassed by Repubs. in Congress. Now Jim Wright's office was a major pain in the ass as was the Keating Five. But I don't recall any "right wing" harassment. BTW, I'll bet you have brown eyes. JLA
