t2....re: speculative short term otm calls... at least you understand they are "speculative" a rapid change in volatility can whipsaw an short term otm in either direction. the timing of the entry point based on the momentum and oversold/overbought posture magnifies the risk. a short term otm call actually has a higher volatility then an itm with intrinsic value. it's the old risk reward game......you look at a large percent gain versus total loss....
