IBM, Dell extend multi-billion dollar pact

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Shares of IBM and Dell Computer rose in pre-market trading Monday on reports that the tech giants would extend their current mulit-billion pact.

IBM added 1 to 126 and Dell climbed 2 to 45 11/16, according to market makers at Madoff Investment Securities. According to news reports, full details of the extension of the $16 billion pact first disclosed in March were to be announced at a 10:00 am press conference in New York Monday.
