Yeh, dusty. I84 closed due to blowing dust.

It doesn't happen here anymore but there were times when they'd close highways due to limited visibility due to blowing dust. That was back before minimum tillage. Now they don't turn the soil over like they used to, leaving 60 to 80% coverage of crop residue on top to stop erosion.

Back in the days of fall plowing, the blowing dust over the winter would actually erode the bases of phone and power poles. Doesn't happen now.
