The beeper just went off. I am trying to grill boneless pork-loin chops while I answer messages. Once they are grilled I will freeze them. Presto! Instant meal!

The last time I looked the semis were up. But that was earlier this morning.

Do you have a Costco near you? I found the most wonderful smoked salmon spread at Costco over the weekend. The base is cream cheese but the salmon is alder smoked from Alaska. No artificial flavorings or preservatives. Cost $6.49 a pound.

Our local grocery charges $8.50 a pound for their smoked-salmon mousse.

I layered cooked potatoes with portabella mushrooms and golden peppers. I liquefied the spread in the microwave, added a few red pepper flakes, a bit of white wine and poured it over the dish. I'll let it sit in the frig for a few days.

The lady who sold it to me said that the spread is good over potatoes and/or pasta. And I needed to use the small, red potatoes that had been in the frig for awhile.

There goes my beeper!
