If only I could live in the past! I'd like to take a vacation in New York, circa 1920, but the steamship tickets seem not to be available....

Speculative booms recur through-out history -- the tulip craze, southsea bubble, Florida land sales in the early 1920's and loads of other examples. All have an eerily parallel start, finish, and end. You could deny that the internet craze is a speculative boom -- but if it *is* a speculative boom, well, they only end one way....
