Elmer - <Wafers haven't been buslocked yet so why the "EB"?>

I'm just going by what Sharkey reported the convention would be for packaged parts. Not talking wafers. Possibly for overlapping speed grades between Katmai and Coppermine.

In any event, I know a "B" only suffix cannot be a Coppermine, as the "B" only designator is used to differentiate between Katmai and Coppermine. So if you see only a "B", its a Katmai.

Elmer - Here's JC using the "EB" convention for a potential overlapping speed grade between .25 and .18:

99/09/27, 8:50am - Short night, I really should have slept more. ;) One little but very important ditty that I forgot to mention in that last update -- PIII-600B matches K7/Athlon-600 in Business Winstone for NT. This would seem to mean that PIII-600EB will outperform the K7/Athlon-600 in at least this one benchmark (it is also my opinion that the Coppermine 600EB will beat the K7-600 in unix kernel compiles). This is, of course, assuming that AMD doesn't have any odd tricks up their sleeve, like PC133 support or whatnot.
