RE: Kemble, do you know of a company that makes servers in Europe? <VBG>

:o) And the Parmer facility is an airplane hanger with a twin next door ready to fly...The tours that DELL provides for our group surely doesn't leave any doubt that DELL is planning on building a few servers in the near future...I have some photos of the shell from over a year ago..I still get psyched imagining the daily entry and exodus coming out of those 36 truck ports on each side!...You'd have to sedate me if they opened both and had em flying at the same time...The margins and revenue growth daily coming into those facilities via of the internet ...I think the efficiency will absolutely destroy the rest of the industry...

Best, Kemble

calvin -
unfortunately, due to a bug in Intel's version of the profusion chipset (and motherboard), only CPQ is shipping 8-way systems at the moment (CPQ co-developed the chipset and has their own version, which does not have the lockup problem).

This will delay for some time DELL's ability to ramp sales of 8-ways. No word yet from Intel on when a fix will be available.
