johnd, i get the feeling they won't be too negative on their own stock at the conference. They have done enough damage. It would have been good if MSFT was not as hard hit as the rest of the techs. As that did not happen, i doubt they will want to slam it again.
Maybe they won't even say anything---maybe a quiet period to earnings.

Your prediction was wrong again. Sometimes, when people are pessimistic, the market will give you a big surprise. However, I am still uncomfortable that the CEO talked in public down / up the stock. He job is to bring value to the investors so that the stock will either be in line with the value or over. Anyway, how do you judge the value ? The future value or the past ?
