James, Are you saying that our society is going backwards? Actually I think society is in a growth phase. I think if you go back through history, you will find that although the growth hasn't been "straight line", humanity has continually progressed. I think for someone who believes in a Judeo-Christian religious philosphy, it makes sense to believe that society is declining. The increasing rate of reduction in influence that organized religion has on our society, is quite naturally a source of concern to most people who follow those traditional beliefs. The reality is that traditioal organized religion, for whatever reason, isn't giving the majority of the people what they need spiritually. That is why the influence of so many alternative spiritual paths is growing. Mark
