Don't know ... I'm not sure why they didn't ... but then this would be like betting on one hardware appliance vendor for ICS. They have been signing them up one by one ... big to small ... there are 4-6 vendors now selling Novell ICS (a.k.a. BorderManager) including Compaq, Dell, IBM, NEC, and a couple more smaller guys ...
maybe they are going to partner with several of the content routing vendors ...

I think that it appears to be an inevitable growth area in the Internet. At the conference that I was just at, both AOL and Excite@Home Network Architects acknowledged the importance of caching in their networks. They explained that their users would bring the network to it's knees without caching. Both companies are rolling out extensive caching projects ...
