UBID to announce B2B Auction site - UBid (UBID: news, msgs) gained 6 15/16 to 30 3/16 after Merrill Lynch upgraded the company to a near-term "buy" from "accumulate" with a 12-month price target of $50. In a note to clients, Henry Blodget pointed out that UBid was trading at an "inexpensive" 0.5 times 2000 revenue projections. Blodget called UBid the leader in business-to-consumer auctions with upside potential as it enters the business-to-business auction marketplace.
