ISP's (MSPG, ELNK, PSIX) continue to take a pounding...anyone have any insight on the outlook on this sector going forward?

Mark, by no means am I an expert, but I'll gladly share my thoughts.

MSPG and ELNK are currently rangebound. I don't think there's much risk at these levels but if I were attempting to trade, I would wait for a sustained close above 32. By sustained, I mean it must close above that level for a couple days at the very least.

As for the merger, it seems prudent to join forces as ISPs. I continue to believe in the "cell phone model" of the interenet (its the service that counts...not the hardware, which is easily resplaceable). As users flock to the internet for their communications needs, future technological advents like Voice over IP will eventually do away with long distance charges (we are witnessing this slow but dramatic shift now as T and WCOM nickel and dime one another).

Those so called wall st analysts that think "free" access models in Europe can be employed here are clueless. Europeans pay by the minute to their telcos and the ISPs are "reimbursed" (they get what we call a cut and its totally legit over there).

If there was something more specific or technical, there's a guy on this thread called "Mr Bones." He's quite knowledgable and perhaps could answer questions above my head :~) Bones seems to have an excellent command of technical topics. Good luck.

Regards,
Hasan
