I've eaten a bunch of them but never for Christmas. Never had a tame one either. One of my best hunts was at Easton, MD. Not as many geese as Illinois but the people were so polite.

Back in '83 I had a spot to hunt 60 miles from here and needed some special decoys. On December 5th my father had chest pains and went to the doctor who told him to get to the hospital. On the way to the hospital he took a detour and bought two dozen of the decoys for me in case he didn't make it to Christmas. He died the next day.

I don't hunt any longer but I still have those dekes.
