CMGI is offering free ISP through Altavista out here. I signed up just for giggles. I really don't like it but of course I am online all day and don't care about ISP charges. But anyway I would encourage everyone to sign up with AV for free and see what you think. An ad banner is at the top of your screen the entire time, and I believe you will be disconnected from the service if you don't click on a "tell me more" box within some period of time... irrespective of your activity in your browser, SI or whatever. Additionally, there are pop-up windows galore. So, overall it is annoying.
