All, Ashok Kumar on CNNfN today, said RAMBUS will not be mainstream until 2001. The reasoning he gave was that performance improvements were too miniscule to matter. Petz

Petz, RE:"Jim, i820 only works, when it DOES work, with RAMBUS, so I'd forget about using your PC133 in a system with an Intel chipset even if they fix the i820. Yea, I know, there were supposed to be i820 motherboards with SDRAM slots also. So far, no one has spotted one yet."... the i820 only works with RAMBUS? I guess I'm a little behind the curve on this RAMBUS stuff...but not like Intel...which is obviously FUBARed on RAMBUS... So Intel can't release the Culatermine 133 unless they want to give a gift to VIA and it's 133MHz chipset? And I thought AMD pulled big boners... Jim Jim
