...having used four different ISPs

I've used about six ISPs in the US, one in China, and three in Hong Kong. I don't think the Free ISP will work in Asia. Hong Kong has what they call a pnet charge -- a tax by the HKSAR of about 1.19 HKD/hour of connect time no matter which ISP one uses. The absolutely worst ISP I ever had was Hong Kong Telecom, they had a hefty initial subscriber fee, among other things, and I didn't like the way they configured my web browser. I have just finished two free trials from Compuserve and MSN and I've decided to go with NetZero with Altavista as a backup. I've noticed that the various ISPs, both fee-based and free, use some of the same dial-in phone numbers.
