RE:"I hear IBM will announce a 750 MHz Athlon system."

Seems like IBM is carrying the torch. I wonder if they will buy AMD should AMD go under...

<I hear IBM will announce a 750 MHz Athlon system.>

Are you sure it is not Athlon Ultra or Athlon Pro?

The rumor that I thought was picking up steam today was the Mot deal. Apparently a foundry deal is being looked at but a lot of other possibilities are apparently emerging (including the originally reported equity deal). Looks more real now.

Paul, re: "I hear IBM will announce a 750 MHz Athlon system."

Didn't you mean to put "announce" in quotes?

Paul Re <<I hear IBM will announce a 750 MHz Athlon system.>>

Sometime I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. Please clarify if you could.

Also I think I remember (could be wrong) that you said something about a 800 thousand Athlon this Q. Is there any update on that?
