Not meaning to replow already broken ground but since there is so much discussion about what is and what is not a *real* OS, w., can we agree that the OS is simply the interface software between the hardware and application software (whatever the form factors involved) that allows them to interoperate (whatever the level of complexity)? If that is the case, why is Palm OS not a *real* OS? Thanks. ...Tim

No not kidding at all.
I am not confusing DOS and Windows. Haven't confused them in years.
The technology to run a browser is not cycle intensive. unless you believe sending and receiving over a socket requires a complicated system. Believe me the OS that will matter the most on these machines will be basically a http browser.
The phones themselves are very complicated the Software that will run on them to perform PDA functionality will not be.
